SPIGF 2018: in a Dialogue on the Development of the Gas Industry
On 2-5 October, ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre will host the 8th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum. SPIGF is a venue bringing together leaders of the gas community, investors, heads of state institutions and ministries, well-known industry experts and scientists.
During the 7th International Congress of Oil and Gas Industry Professionals more than 90 business events will take place: plenary sessions, conferences, round table discussions, closed meetings, and on-site technical tours. Experts will focus on energy security, gas engine fuel, oil and gas chemistry, import substitution in the oil and gas sector, gas distribution and gas consumption and other issues of the industry.
The Forum's key event will be its plenary session "The role and significance of natural gas in the energy balance of the world economy". Representatives of Gazprom, OMV AG, Uniper SE, CNPC, Royal Dutch Shell, ENGIE, Verbundnetz Gas AG, the International Gas Union are invited to take part in the dialogue. The experts will exchange their views on the latest trends in the gas market, discuss the current state and long-term tendencies in the development of the gas industry, the introduction of new technologies and innovative production solutions.
The 15th Conference of Northeast Asian Gas and Pipeline Forum (NAGPF) will be held for the first time within the framework of the Gas Forum. Participants will discuss strategic issues related to establishment of a gas pipeline network in Northeast Asia, international cooperation, as well as part of gas in national economies of the regional countries.
A number of sessions of the business program will be devoted to the prospects of using gas as engine fuel. NGV Italy will be the organiser of field-specific events with the participation of Italian and international industry experts. Experts will share global best practices and reveal their visions of using gas as fuel in the automotive industry.
A large block of thematic events is aimed at discussing the development of automation and IT. Experts are going to explore a variety of strategies to improve production, processing and transmission of gas using intelligent technologies.
Youth Day held with the support of the International Business Congress is going to be an important event of the Forum. Top managers of leading energy companies will discuss trends in the development of the gas sector with talented students from around the world.
A large-scale exposition will demonstrate the latest developments and promising projects of the gas industry and related industries. Four international exhibitions will be run in ExpoForum Pavilions: the 6th International Specialised Exhibition "InGAS Stream 2018 - Innovations in the Gas Industry"; the 5th International Specialised Exhibition "Gas Engine Fuel"; the 22nd International Specialised Exhibition of natural gas industry and technology for gas facilities ROS-GAS-EXPO; the 3rd International Exhibition and Conference on Shipbuilding and High-Tech Engineering for Arctic and Offshore Development "Offshore Marintec Russia". Russian companies will unveil their innovations at the 3rd Specialised exposition "Import Substitution in the Gas Industry". SPIGF 2018 will feature such high-profile participants as Gazprom, OMV AG, Uniper SE, Gazprom Gas-Engine Fuel, Russian Export Center, Gazprom avtomatizatsiya, RUSNANO, CHELPIPE GROUP, Main Company of COMITA Group of Companies, Russian Cylinders, RGM-Neft-Gaz-Service and others.
SPIGF 2018 will be held with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Government of St. Petersburg, Russian Export Center, the Russian Gas Society, and NGV Italy.
